What it is
The world championship for clubs — 32 teams like Real Madrid, Flamengo and Inter Miami, every four years (the USA hosted the first expanded edition in 2025). Not to be confused with the FIFA World Cup, which is for countries.
How you get in
Win — or rank highly in — your continent's champions tournament: Europe's Champions League, South America's Libertadores, Concacaf's Champions Cup, and so on.
What it feeds
World-champion-of-clubs status — the summit of the club track. Nothing above this on the club side.
New-fan checkpoint: World Cup = countries (Argentina). Club World Cup = clubs (Real Madrid). Messi has played in both — one for his country, one for his club.
